I'm not sure all DACs do sound the same (though I agree the differences are extremely small), but that seems to be a holy war round here so I'm not going to debate it further, just leave the OP to experiment at leisure.
I am not into orchestral music so my requirements don't match the OPs and I don't see any need to push beyond CD quality for the material I'm listening to... Hence I have no experience of EDO or transcoding DSD on LMS.
