The environment of Daniel is not a pure Ubuntu server, it is an FGS installation hosted on top of an Ubuntu box. Reading this thread: http://old.nabble.com/How-to-install-PEAR-td25740491.html it seems that there is an FGS version which includes PEAR (and may be also the modules you require). On the other hand I suggest you to use the Ubuntu native packages for p.mapper and the related software, not the FGS blob. FGS is a super-blob-package which I consider a good choiche for distributions which do not provide a good set of native GIS packages (e.g. Suse, CentOS, RedHat), while Ubuntu provides good and recent GIS packages. May be you can add the ubuntu GIS repository, as per Walter suggestion. -- Niccolo Rigacci Firenze - Italy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone?
