The same thing is increasingly happening to me! I think it is a combination
of a bit of deterioration of motor skills and a bit of more attention to the
ideas expressed than to the act of writing.
[My folks pursued their food related careers in North Jersey - Passaic,
Clifton, Garfield, East Patterson and near by environs.]

I can't believe there were so many typos in my mail. That seems to be
happening more often. It is funny. When I wrote it it looked fine. After I
send it I see lots of spelling errors which I don't make ordinarily but it
is as-if I see it one way one time and another way afterwards. Do I have a
form of dyslexia? My brain surgery was about 10 years ago. I do notice also
that I can't write (metered/iambic pentameter) poetry anymore whereas before
the surgery I found my muse (but since the surgery lost it) ..
Since you are a psychologist is this a symptom you are familiar with?
Or is it a Geriatrics problem? I'm 67.

P.S. My dad was a trouble shooter for A&P for many years. His uncles were
grocers. He trained as a butcher and eventually opened his own grocery store
in Pennsgrove, NJ. When we moved to Florida in 45 he and his brother went
into the hotel business. That was in Miami Beach. I left for military school
after I was Bar Mitzvahed and only went back for one year to graduate from
high school and then enlisted in the army (grin). That was in 56. The rest
would probably bore you, although I did work in the White House for several
years and the War Room in the Pentagon for a few years, and France for
almost 3 years -- and I travelled to far off distant, exotic war zones.
Afterwards I went to school, developed real estate, was in Israel with State
Dept approval for the Yom Kipper War and my wife and I in 1970 were targets
of Fadayeen machine gun fire at Kibbutz Sasa for several hours -- long
enough to want not to be in that situation ever again. And long enough to
get this very strong feeling about how great it is to live/while at the same
time knowing how much life can suck.
