Charles is a perfect example of what is wrong with most discussion forums.
In the best lists his interruption would not be tolerated. Check the
Marxism list. And this is what I have often talked about here, the need to
raise the level of discourse by providing resources and all the proof
possible. There are no original ideas, although Charles claims
originality. That is fine, but what are his credentials? Where did he go
to school? What was his major? What is his degree and what has he
published and where? The answer is obvious. He isn't published. He has not
been peer reviewed. His comments here are fiction.
There is a Darwinian component in all knowledge. It is a simple algorithm,
but necessary for any analysis. Everything is an idea which is copied and
changes are the natural selection element or component which may or may
not get copied to make the conclusions better or different or even
revisionist. But you don't pluck those ideas out of the air and
contrary to the claim by Charles it was not/is not in the mainstream
or anywhere else except in his delusional mind.
It is impossible to create an analysis without facts or sources. It just
can't be done. To claim otherwise is fraudulent and I suspect dishonest.
If Charles really believes what he says, I think Sarah is right and he
needs help. Lets get back to rational conclusions - even when they differ
- but use logic please. Interpretations require data and the data comes
from some authority - it does not come from Charles
