Who Loves War and All the Little Children Too?
Well, for one, anti-Abortionists support war. They love unborn children
but they must hate the born children because they do little and
increasingly less for those children born into families where they are
unwanted or poor or sick.
Anti-Abortionists Support War
It is absolutely beyond reasonable comprehension and logic that those who
are against abortions will say they cherish life and call themselves
"pro-life" yet with almost non-existent exceptions of a very, very few who
are not, they are all of them pro-war conservatives and supporters of the
very uncompassionate and hurtful and destructive George W. Bush.
Most conservatives are antiabortion -- AND most of the supporters of
George W. Bush as well as the supporters of the war with Iraq oppose women
having the choice to abort. They lack good sense because the war with
Iraq, to them, is a war against terrorists which make no sense at all
since there were no terrorists in Iraq before the U.S. invaded that
country.
The conservatives who oppose abortion are most generally those who also
support ALL the wars. They fit the profile perfectly. They are
conservative, religious, anti-gay, anti-liberal, and don't forget
"anti-communist" and they're against stem cell research.
You gotta ask yourself, how can any sane person find killing an unborn
fetus immoral - even when (and I would add, especially when) it means
saving the life of the mother? AND also do not find it just as
reprehensible to kill innocent Iraqis to save them from a regime they say
is cruel and immoral? I ask you, who is cruel and immoral? Them or us?
As an ape we might learn something from the other apes. Most of them are a
whole lot nicer than we are.
Many who oppose abortion even when a family can't possibly afford another
mouth to feed never consider offering to help that family personally or
care that a child is handicapped and families may not have the means to
care for that child's needs. OK, suppose they they consider it
immoral to terminate the fetus even knowing that when born the child
will be severely handicapped. OK, I can dig it. So why don't they
offer to help the handicapped children? How many do? Not many. Not
many at all. Hardly any as a matter of fact.
Where is the morality for letting them suffer - for tolerating their
suffering when it is possible to help them, to ameliorate their misery.
Where is the money from these holier than thou compassionate conservatives
who won't fight in wars themselves or send their children? Where is the
money for the kids who had to be born with spina bifida and cerebral
palsy?
How many times have they parked in handicapped parking because they
were in a hurry and the person who really needed it had to wait?
You know that has happened. I've seen it.
Wars cost a lot of money that could be spent to alleviate suffering and
the accompanying despair that it causes and it could go a long way towards
helping the parents of disabled children who chose to have them but for
which there is little public help.
George Bush opposes abortion. Is the killing of an unborn fetus somehow
more abhorrent or the life of that fetus more valuable than the lives of
those children, those human beings who have been horribly maimed or they
have had their lives snuffed out by the thousands by bombs dropped on Iraq
or Afghanistan? And he wants to do it again somewhere. He wants to nuke
the Iranians. Who will be next? I can tell you who I would like to see be
next.
