And Israel which was reborn in 1948 at about the same time that 22 Muslim
states were also established in the region as individually separate and
independent sovereign nation-states - all of them Muslim - but the one
Jewish and secular state which is Israel is constantly being condemned for
being established even as a haven for oppressed Jews - but the Muslim
states, which are all the rest, are not condemned for being Islamic, even
as many of them constantly manufacture and sell their antisemitic myths of
hatred.
Israel on the other hand has saved millions of Jews and non-Jews. It does
not teach hate in its schools whereas Muslim states do inculcate their
youth with antisemitism in their schools - and sends it's suicide bombers
to kill innocent Jewish women, children and old men - and all Israel wants
is to be left alone.

I, like many Socialist-Zionists wanted to see a closer relationship
between the Soviet Union and Israel. Perhaps we were wrong. Socialism was
never really implemented in the USSR and Trotsky never expected it would.
And even while Lenin supported the State of Israel, one of the first to do
so, it was an opportunist move to gain greater influence but that support
soon shifted to those with the oil. Each state is a product of its own
reality and can't be faulted for that. After-all it is self-preservation
which is the first and primary directive. It isn't who Israel must
associate itself with but what it becomes and what it is itself. If there
were no antisemites there would be no Israel and no need for it (and if
there was not antisemitism there would in my opinion be no Jews) but there
is religion and the culture of religion is exclusive and antisemitic.
