What's the constitutional change that you refer to? Can you give me a URL to
the 'suggestion by Jay'? I think I mentioned before that private property
and hierarchy is hard to give up. People have gone into hierarchical
organization in so many lands and so many occasions in history, quite
naturally so, that it looks to be voluntary behavior. Even families have
hierarchies, and I don't foresee them re-organizing themselves even if there
were the blandishment of a constitutional amendment. I suspect that if you
have "a big reorg" in mind, that ultimately force would be required to make
the idea enforceable. --America has the egaitarian idea of equality before
the law. That much is good, but should be lived up to and ensured across the
board. Too often, equality amounts to a platitude, and is (or seems to be)
discarded in actual practice.
