2,000,000 babies WORLDWIDE die within their first 24 hours -- as reported
this week on CNN by Jeff Green and the U.S. has the SECOND WORST CHILD
MORTALITY RATE in the developed world. American babies are 3 TIMES more
likely to die in their first month as children born in Japan and children
mortality is 2.5 times higher in the U.S. than Finland, Iceland or Norway.
(Save the Children) Only Latvia with 6 deaths per new-born was worse. --
We are right down there with Malta and Hungary and Poland - and Slovakia
with 5 deaths per live birth.
Our neighbors are doing much better than us. Death rates are higher than
Canada here. BUT Canada's system is socialized and we have a "for-profit"
health care system.
Billionares like Frist's family make their billions off the illnesses of
Americans and it ain't against the law - although it ought to be.
My father, may be live to be 120 (he is now 97) said to me two recently
that America was the greatest country in the world. I shouldn't argue with
an old man and certainly not my dad but I couldn't let that one slide. He
believed the propaganda and they have had a long time to work on him. He
lives in an area where everyone wants to conserve their security and
remembering the Nazis he can easily make the assumption that we are much
better than that - but as things go, we are beginning to look more and
more like them in every way and it is easy to see how Americans can be
"good American" just as Germans considered themselves "good Germans" or to
be more accurate in my description of them, they were "good Nazis" for
supporting Hitler and the fascists industrialists in power.
AND, higher inflation is here again.
We're living on borrowed money. The federal debt stands at 8.2 trillion.
It is even more for personal debt, over 11 trillion. There is NO savings
anymore. U.S. savings is a minus. People buying homes think they own their
homes. They don't own their homes. The banks own their homes and their
cars. Savings rates hit the lowest since the Great Depression, since 1933.
The Dollar is falling apart. There has been a sharp drop in the value of
the green-back. A 6% fall against the Euro in the past 6 weeks.
