Honestly, I would not be extremely concerned about pending patches for a simple reason: the layout change is so simple that most current patches will apply easily anyway. For example I think we all work already by manual applying patches in svn tree with tools like TortoiseSvn or command line. TortoiseSvn can often automatically detect how to apply patches in this situation by attempting to strip directory levels, and this can be done on command line very easily. One simply copy a patch made for the old layout into root/src/podofo and issue: patch -p1 < file.patch And the patch will apply just fine. For now, I would focus in (quickly, if possible) reaching consensus over the change and understand if my compilation fixes are enough or something more is needed.
