I read Christopher Creutzig comment and there was a misunderstanding so I also answer you to explain that with SVG "extensions" I didn't mean something like SVG operators that ends in the PDF content stream. I meant macro/composed functionalities that can achieved only by composing several PDF operators. In the header documentation of those functions I enlisted they are described as the equivalent of some SVG operators which for sure need an internal state to be maintained for their correct working.
