We're thinking about using Apache POI to develop filters for KOffice. One problem with this is that KOffice links to QT, which is licensed under the GPL, and the GPL is incompatible with the Apache License.
It is unfortunate that the GPL license prevents us from using the Apache license, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how we could work around this. There has been talk about "fixing" the APL license, by making Apache a trademark and granting people the right to use that under a separate trademark license. Also would dual licensing Apache POI be an option?
