Shameless plug: In the future I'll be using POI into a new project called Reports On JBoss. POI was basically an outgrowth of a former incarnation of this project to which I do not have the rights. It will include the ability to report from O-R mapped objects, write PDF/XLS/DOC/XML/HTML docs, delivery over http/etc. I'll also focus one complex reporting and analytical systems (data cubes), etc.
Right now I'm still focusing on Mail Services for JBoss, but am willing to work with anyone who is interested in kicking this reporting piece off. If you've ever been interested in open source but didn't know where to start, I'm a pretty willing mentor. (Though it goes like this: I tell you where to look and you dig yourself and ask specific questions, I'm not your mommy ;-) ) This reporting piece will not really compete in the same area as JasperReports. I'm going after Actuate. -Andy -- Andrew C.
