Thanks Andrew. By any chance, do you (or anyone) know if there is another product out there, commercial or open source, which takes xml*[some engine/stylesheet] = .xls file? We already do the same with FOP in a major production app. The nice thing about the HSSF Serializer is it just dropped right in. The downside is that it's basically a dead product.
