I am testing this and have a fatal reproducible bug - apparently not
a regression as it crashed previous versions of polipo as well.
Happens when sending very large gnupg keys to keyserver (plain
gpg --send-keys doe sit in my case).

Since I have an easilly reproducible case now (at least I hope) I will
try to pin it down this weekend.

A second thing, I have successfully applied my tunneling patches to this
version of polipo. Works perfectly - any chance to integrate this to
polipo?

Give it a try - you might be amazed by the amount of SSL spam and dubious
connections. Not only do regular websites open all kinds of ssl connections
to disguise spam (and one may safely assume - to purposedly circumvent malware
scanners), it is beyond belief what kind of connections supposedly trusted
banking sites make when loading security relevant content.

Also beyond belief that popular browsers even display the "secured" logo
on such pages.
