Hello everyone.

Every once in a while my firefox 8.0 stops communicating with polipo (or vice
versa).
When that happens, any attempt to load a website in firefox shows
"connecting..." and stays like that for ever.
I cannot even open localhost:8123.
At the same time polipo is in "sleep" state and still accepts connections from
other browsers/clients (like w3m or galeon).

When I reconfigure firefox to directly connect to the internet, it loads all
those tabs fine - even localhost:8123.
After reconfiguring it back to use polipo again no pages can be loaded.
I tried logLevel=0xff, but I did not see any unusual message in the log, other
than
"Couldn't create disk file.... file exists"
or
"uncacheable object..."

I have to restart polipo in order to make things work again.

Now how can I avoid this? Who is to blame? How can I find out more?

Thanks in advance for any hints

Oliver
