I feel I should point out that if you want to make sure that nobody else will contribute, you should use this style. I've been following a wide variety of free software projects for more than eighteen years, and in all that time *none* has used Whitesmiths: GNU, sure, K&R, sure, Allman style, sure, even one using Ellemtel (shiver), but none using Whitesmiths. It is enormously unpopular. I don't even know an autoindenter that supports it other than Emacs's cc-mode (which supports everything, and even it has some trouble with it and does not do a particularly good job). I suspect you came from Symbian coding, since that appears to be the last holdout of Whitesmiths...
