The US government doesn't give a damn about US workers, its
orientation is towards big business. Anyway what ever happened to
bring us your tired and your hungry, your huddled masses. Post war
every country welcomed immigrants with open arms because their was
plenty of room for the expansion for US capital at home and abroad,
especially after the war had blow the crap out of Europe and Asia. Now
you have countries desperately trying to expand into each others
markets as new opportunities are exhausted, China and India are the
last two countries that have the infrastructure for capital expansion.
This has resulted in the downsizing of industry as there is not enough
for all to go around. Migrants who were once welcomed are now vilified
for taking jobs and ruining it for domestic workers and the government
milks it because they can't solve a problem that is systemic within
capitalism itself. Markets and resources are finite. Each country's
industry explodes across its borders in search of new markets and
capital in the farthest flung corners of the globe, international
antagonisms are sharpened as the competition for new areas of
expansion are exhausted, the result is economic chaos and war,
