The ship type was that of a common freighter sold all over the world to many different companies and governments by the US. It could have easily been confused for a known type in those waters (First time for this type under a US flag) and it did NOT communicate or identify itself. This was FUBAR by whoever was on that bridge at the time.... get a grip.
