*Manners? I don't need no stinkin' manners*

Today, Monday, August 25, 2014, feast day of one King Louis IX of France
better known to the world as St. Louis, was a day for funerals and
memorials.

   - One family here buried its oldest member: a beloved sweet, gentle and
kind woman who lost her husband to World War II. (RIP, Tía.) The mourners
at the Funeral Mass were few since she outlived just about all of her
contemporaries, but there were people there from all parts of her family.
   All generations were represented.
   - A memorial Mass was said for James Foley, the American journalist
beheaded by ISIS as seen on a propaganda video so graphic that a whole lot
of us won't watch it. Foley died because Barack Obama refused to make a
decision on rescuing him and his fellow hostages for 30 days. By the time
the military was cleared to search, he and other hostages had been moved.
As a result of that indecision, a very Christian family lost a son. And
the Obama Administration saw no reason to send an emissary to pay respects
and pray for the repose of his soul.
   - Today was also the day of Michael Brown's funeral, the 18 year old man
who died during an altercation with a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri.
The complete picture of the incident is yet to emerge, but as more and
more information is leaked, the shooting seems to be justified. The
funeral, however, like the looting and riots that followed his death, was
used as a stage for people in the racial division business to whip up more
frenzy and vitriol since the first round of agitated "unrest" fizzled out.
The Obama Administration sent a delegation of three representatives.

For the unknown midwesterner who lived a quiet life and had an even quieter
funeral, there was shock that so many people attended. For the Obama
Administration to continue its colossal blunder streak in what the
appropriate protocol is for paying respects at state and military
funerals...yeah, we shouldn't be surprised.

This president thinks nothing of keeping the media waiting over an hour for
a press conference which all are broadcasting live thus costing the
networks millions in advertising revenue, making milquetoast statements
regarding the killing of Americans abroad not dressed for the occasion (no
tie and not wearing an actual suit) and then heading straight for the golf
course with friends, not sending any representation to the burial of the
highest ranking officer to die on the battlefield in years, insulting the
Christians who built this nation by telling Muslims that they built the
very fabric of America, trying to walk back statements that were clearly
made comparing the world's most blood thirsty terrorist group to a junior
varsity squad as if war was a sporting event...in a word, Barack Obama is
uncouth.

Forget the facade of elegance that so many extolled when Obama was elected.
His actions on this front speak far more than appearance does. He does
not have the manners to respect others and not inconvenience them. He
doesn't see the wrong in not representing the office he holds by sending
proper delegations to the memorials for his counterparts and colleagues
around the world...but he will try to use a supercharged racially toxic
atmosphere at the funeral of a thug to further a narrative of hatred and
division that has largely been fabricated for some kind of popular gain.

*Seriously, it's like he's using the dark side of the force.*

How hard is simple manners. Apparently impossible for Obama.
