It's people like Marc Lamont Hill who can't be bothered with facts that are the problem. But it's good to hear someone finally state forcefully what many of us have been saying for years - that blacks interact more with cops than whites b/c they commit FAR more violent crimes (and as a result are disproportionately arrested for those crimes). How is this not common sense? And how does this "Distinguished Professor of African American Studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia" expect to be taken seriously (by thinking people) when he insists that when 75% of murders are committed by 23% of the population that "those numbers aren't true because there are other dimensions"? What's even more fascinating is that he says - practically in the same breath - that finding 3 racist emails from a police force of 100 people is indicative of systemic racism. And he later argues with Houck that "systemic" doesn't mean "throughout the police department". Someone needs to send this "Distinguished Professor" a freaking dictionary: sys·tem·ic səˈstemik/ *adjective* adjective: *systemic* *1*. of or relating to a system, especially as opposed to a particular part.
