Good for you Navy. If she ever brings up the conversation again (or politics), you should tell her what you chalked it up to - her skin crawling at the thought of voting for 4 more years of the shit we've seen from Obama. :)
Last night I spent almost 3 hours on the phone with a friend from high school who was apparently drinking something strong while we were talking. Because she was totally sober when she first called and drunk as hell by the time we hung up, lol. Anyway, it got a bit heated too - as soon as we got onto politics towards the end of the conversation. What's weird is that she has been a republican her entire life while I hadn't voted for one since Reagan until 2008. She's planning on voting for Trump, but we still don't see some things the same (like the cop killings, for example). I've lived in a metro area with 1+ million people for 30 years, while she remained in the very small rural town of 4K people I'd gone to high school in. So needless to say we have very different vantage points. For one thing, I'm not on a first name basis with every cop in the county, lol. I just think most of us on the right know just how serious this election is and truly think 4 more years of this shit will do this nation in for good. So tensions are higher than usual, even among longtime friends. It's weird. I think I'll quit answering my phone until after the election!
