Keith, as you well know, the strict marriage vows in both our faith and I daresay amongst the jews as well, is that a woman shall faithfully "serve, honour and obey" her husband, I know that now they say whatever they like, however, do you honestly think that in most cases, throughout history, women did that. Let me advance the possibility that even if they follow strict Sharia law, most women living in our 1st world countries have a mind of their own, leastways the few that I've ever met were extremely independent and very well educated and most definitely not subservient to their husbands. Of course, in a Moslem country I have no doubt that the reverse would be the case.
