*The Left and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day*

By Tad Cronn <http://constitution.com/author/tad-cronn> November 10, 2016

Golly, I just feel like giving the Left a lollipop, patting them on the
head and telling them, “There, there, just catch your breath. The sun still
shines.”

votes like a boss.

What we are witnessing, in reaction to the election victory of Donald Trump
and the GOP in both houses of Congress, is nothing less than a nationwide
temper tantrum
<http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/10/us/politics/donald-trump-election-reaction.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=span-abc-region&region=span-abc-region&WT.nav=span-abc-region>
by liberals.

They’re lighting fires and slashing tires in major California cities,
especially in the Bay Area, around Oakland and Berkeley. At California
universities, Trump’s victory was met by spontaneous (or not-so) marches,
like the one at UC San Diego
<http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/public-safety/sd-me-ucsd-protest-20161109-htmlstory.html>,
where the snowflakes marched right onto the 5 Freeway, and someone got run
over by a truck. (She’ll live, BTW, but she won’t be too happy while her
broken pelvis heals.) University of California President Janet Napolitano
(remember her?) and other UC officials issued a statement
<https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/press-room/university-california-statement-election>
assuring the precious children that they are safe and “welcome” on campus.
Counselors were standing by.

MoveOn has organized whinefests
<http://www.breitbart.com/live/2016-election-world-reacts-donald-trumps-stunning-upset-victory/moveon-protests-white-house/>,
er, demonstrations, all across the country.

Flag burning, death threats and property destruction
<http://www.infowars.com/hillary-supporters-burn-american-flag-riot-threaten-to-kill-trump-after-losing-election/>
are the order of the day as the Left shows us all what the moral high
ground looks like.

was a two bucket show.

The talking heads who for the past year and a half have been assuring us
the next president would be Hillary Clinton are just beside themselves
<http://www.mrctv.org/blog/trump-wins-and-liberal-media-lost-their-minds>.
They can’t fathom why reality did not bend to their fantasies.

Rachel Maddow practically suffered a psychotic break
<http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/730317/us-election-donald-trump-hillary-clinton-msnbc-coverage-rachel-maddow>
on live TV.

The bee swarm of leftist blogs and wannabe news outlets were even more
aghast. The Huffing-and-Puffington Post
<http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-wins_us_582296a9e4b0e80b02cdcc8a>,
which for most of the campaign has run an editor’s note on every “news”
story saying how evil Trump is, went full-on Scarlett O’Hara, blaming all
the misogynist white conservative males for not electing the “obvious”
choice, Hillary, for president. The headline was pure, 3-year-old drama
queen: “America Elected A Man Who Said ‘Grab Them By The P***y’ Over The
First Female President.”

Other people crying in their beers are America’s pollsters
<http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/305133-pollsters-suffer-huge-embarrassment#.WCOskOx2idU.facebook>.
Except for the much-maligned Los Angeles Times poll — that consistently
showed a close race, then a Trump lead as the actual vote neared — none of
the major polls got it right. All along, conservative critics were pointing
out flaws and sometimes outright manipulation in the polling data, and it
turns out they were right. Also right — for the fourth time — was an
artificial intelligence program called MogIA
<http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/11/09/artificial-intelligence-mogia-predicts-fourth-election-in-row-with-trump-win/>,
proving that these things are predictable if you can see past all the
partisan spin. “It’s going to put the polling industry out of business,”
said CNN anchor Jake Tapper. “It’s going to put the voter projection
industry out of business.” One can hope.

The Left also turned to other important business, to wit, finding a rope to
use in stringing up FBI Director James Comey
<http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/305143-dems-find-early-scapegoat-in-fbi-director-comey>,
because it’s all his fault; Hillary’s loss couldn’t have anything to do
with her own corruption, lies and many probably illegal actions, or with
the Democratic Party’s own scandals and backroom deals.

The other urgent remaining business of the Left, keeping Hillary out of
prison so that she doesn’t cut any deals exposing the rest of the
Democratic leadership, is already on the table, with the White House
indicating President Obama may consider a pardon
<http://nypost.com/2016/11/09/white-house-open-to-a-clinton-pardon/> even
though Clinton, amazingly, hasn’t yet been charged with a crime.

[image: Left Can You Hear Us?]
serious matters, we conservatives do need to help Trump when he actually
gets into the office, and make sure he remembers that he is to enforce the
law AND safeguard everybody’s rights. I don’t think that’s a tall order
except by comparison to recent Oval Office occupants and would-be
occupants, but it’s a serious point of business.

We conservatives just gave, as Michael Moore (of all people) put it, “the
biggest ‘f**k you’ recorded in human history
<http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/10/26/michael_moore_trump_victory_would_be_the_biggest_fk_you_recorded_in_human_history.html>”
to the political establishment so that we could restore America and help it
become what it should be, not to aggrandize another self-centered, would-be
dictator. It’s up to us to keep Trump on the straight and narrow.

Trump is not perfect. He has a lot of rough edges. If anything, he has
shown he is just another flawed human being, which is a nice change from
the pre-manufactured, PC political robots who populate Washington, D.C.

His powerful victory has provided a remarkable opportunity to move America
forward. But to do so, we first have to do some purging to uproot the
criminal conspiracy that obviously exists in the bureaucracy of the federal
government, starting with the dons.

Therein lies a dilemma. Trump has a mandate that should not be squandered
on vengeance. That’s an Obama move. The new president should proceed in a
way that is careful, precise and absolutely legally correct to investigate
those things that need investigating, exposing past cover-ups, punishing
those responsible where it is appropriate, and having the wisdom to know
which things should be let go. Any legal action must be publicly justified
and completely solid.

Don’t kid yourself. It won’t be easy to do while trying to bring more
reasonable liberals on board, but it’s necessary that President Trump start
dismantling the political walls the Left has erected to separate groups
from each other and make the public more manipulable.

As for most of the Left, just let them cry it out. The ones who aren’t
completely lost will come around. The rest, well, what’s life without a
lunatic fringe to keep you on your toes?

I’m very hopeful about the future for the first time in too long. I believe
Trump has the potential to be a very good, possibly even a great,
president. It’s up to the rest of us to help him get there.
