Hah! I "Googled" "CNN, Desert Storm"; and got among other hits this video, which was exactly as I remember watching the war on that initial day/night....Flipping through channels and eventually coming back to CNN. I haven't watched more than about the first eight to ten minutes, but a few (funny!) things came to mind!
I had forgotten about Charles Jaco, who was in Saudi Arabia and scared to death! It seemed like every time the desk in Atlanta would go to him, Jaco was in a panic, and either taking off his gas mask or donning his gas mask and getting ready to run for cover! (Great Stuff! First clip is at 7:26 where Jaco is in his typical panic....Jaco remained this way for weeks! Do ya'll remember Arthur Kent, the "Scud Stud"?
