The fact that the organizers of Shakespeare In The Park thought that this was OK and that no one would object shows how out of touch they are.
They supposed, rightly, that their audience would be on side. We have something similar where I live and I would have walked out. Not just because of the Trump impersonator. But because I hate when people fuck with Shakespeare. He know what he was doing. show respect and present his plays as written. A bit arrogant of any director to think they can do better than the bard himself.
