Good Afternoon Brine! I'm guessing here; and I did read the article that you attached; but I think the reason that no one objected were because:
1. The actor in no way resembled President Obama; the plot was more "Shakespearean" there was no one playing the role of "Moochie"; and there wasn't a chorus in the background chanting, "Kill Obama" like there is in the current travesty playing in Central Park. 2. The play, (despite this writer claiming that it was a New York Acting Company, which very well may be true but they were a "Traveling" Acting Company!) was performed in Minnesota, and may have had all of a couple hundred people view the performances.
