When the goverment spends more than they take in that is a recipe for
ruin.  When the government limits its spending to what it can
reasonably afford that is good sense. The one thing that needs to be
considered is to ensure that the Republicans never get a credit card,
or any other credit arrangement. What they do is max it out, and will
have little or nothing to show for it. at least beyond some very
unhappy Iraqis.  What they never involved themselves in was  the
policing of the financial institutions.(they were too busy hanging
young blacks with developmental disabilities) It turns out that nobody
has been ensuring that the till is secure from sneaks. And now we are
all going to pay dearly.....;with another major round of inflation.
and possibly with a return to violence in the streets..
