Your mistake, intentional though it may be, is ommission. Taxes don't just pay for roads, they OVERPAY. Witness the Communist Republic of Massachusetts "Big Dig" highway project through Boston. Fraud, waste, inefficiency and carelessness are the hallmarks of government spending. If private industry were given as much money as the government uses to educate our children and got the same results their contract would be terminated instantly. The less we allow the government to do, the better off we will be.
