That was one reason given to remove Saddam... And I grant that that was based on fault intel... As our Intel has been faulty for 30+ years, is that a reason to require 20/20 hindsight to validate ALL reasons given... BTW, I suspect the faulty intel and the compromised intel services (Ames who gave Plame name to the Soviets in the 90's) was one core reason why the Russian military did not freak out during the collapse of the USSR, they knew what we would and would not do...
