Mike, I'm no fan of Bush and am happy to see him go but, IMO, you're rebuttal has its typical LW bias and is mostly incorrect;
1- According to the IBC website there are between 89,959 – 98,218 documented violent deaths since the start of the war. I realize there is a wide range of estimates out there, but IBC seems to have the most solid, logical approach to counting/documenting. And you also need to note that the majority of the deaths have come from terrorists operating in Iraq and not the US military. 2- You can still order drugs from overseas as long as it's for your own personal use and does not exceed a 3 month supply. Regardless, the plan has helped millions of American's who couldn't previously afford their prescription drugs. If there is a specific scam, that should be prosecuted, but none-the-less, the plan has been a success. 3- Taxes were not raised on the poor and middle class. Taxes were cut across the board. 4- I have no idea what the connection between Neal Bush and s/w used by the program, but that doesn't mean the effort to raise public school performance shouldn't be acknowledged. 5- This article - in the NYT's no less - paints a far different picture than you present. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/05/washington/05aids.html On Dec 23, 4:24 am, Florida Cracker 532 <[email protected]> wrote: > well lets look at your answers lew > #1 bush caused the death of over on million Iraqi's and four thousand > of our our troops while disabling forty thousand young men and women . > #2 the medicare prescription plan is a scam to help the medical > insurance and prescription drug industry bilk the American people out > of their money . in fact bush blocked any Evert's to import cheaper > drugs from other countries to force us to buy the higher cost American > drugs . #3 bush cut the amount of tax paid bu the wealthiest people > while raising the tax poor and middle class people pay . #4 if you > check you will find Neal bush owns the patents on the software needed > by the schools to teach the students how to prepare for the mandated > tests . making him huge amounts of money from the tax payers ! #5 bush > promised help for aids relief in Africa then refused to send it so in > effect he did nothing to help aids victums ! > *************************************************************************************** > On Dec 22, 2:21 pm, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > 1.
