President Bush is illegally commiting money to GM and Chrysler, which is outside his authority, it is the congress' authority to determine where citizen tax dollars are spent not the president's (the president can approve or dissapprove congress' decision but not unilaterally make that decision - even if he is the decider! Congress better act now and better place conditions on those bail-out funds, GM's re-manufacture of EV1s with GEN II NiMH Batteries, bail- out money to have matching dollar or property lean investment to be used in U.S. plants only with a 10 year commitment to U.S. plants over foreign plants, and a restructured wage plan that removes any bonuses for executives until Bail-out is payed back and is directly compatably with countries who's wages benefit (the mean value of wages) for majority of employees the most over that of the executive management no more than 50 times the lowest paid worker reccomend between 20-50 times lowest paid employee making 20 times the starting base pay and make the up to 50 times a performanced based percentage of profit also make 10% of the pay of the labor force also profit based (profit sharing incentives) People we are being robbed by executive and legislative branch embezzelers robbing the treasury as they leave office ensuring thier cronnies and special interest institutions (Big Oil including its source the auto industry and Banking and Financial industry) reap all the benefits (They already have all the money now and they get to freely double that amount and refuse to loan it out while our money in circulation (in our pocket) is de-valued by the amount of the Bail- outs) and the common tax-paying citizen foots the bill twice, this administration and all its co-conspirators need 10 years of jail time each at a minimum and re-couping of all embezzeled funds, that would be justice! These banking and financial institutions were the means of theft by the profiteers of the sub-prime mortgage scam, who profited by authorizing and arranging sub-prime mortgages and then hiding them in derivatives while they took their investment profits and ran (These people deserve life in prison without parol but since these people are the very ones that caused the recession by manipulating most government descisions but as the crooks in charge they will never see a day of prison). Why should the Big Oil Companies be allowed to do business in the United States at monopoly record Profits (raping U.S. citizens of what little income they do make) and the government do nothing about it crude oil is at an all time low, yet Diesel Fuel and Gasoline prices hardly come close to representing that fact this is still causing goods and services inflation and is artificially inflating the cost of living while our country suffers at the hands of a few monopolizers going unregulated and unchecked? The government must force regulation of fuel prices to that of other Countries who pay less. We must no longer tolerate this abuse. We should be only paying the lower compatible rates of those of other oil producing countries. We should demand Congress force a release of unused technology patents such as GMs EV-1 Electric Car GEN II w/ NiMH Batteries. This is Proven Working Technology that exists today, and has existed since 1997. Auto makers don't want to sell them because no after market profit - they are too reliable and eliminate all the standard serviced after market engine parts (oil, oil & air filters, and many others) also transmission parts Big Oil Companies don't want them because They will be out of business Note- they bought out GM's EV1 GEN II NiMH battery technology to suppress it and have continued to be able to because we don't demand otherwise. Government Politicians don't want them because It would harm industries that provide large contributions to them (In other words blatant Corruption). Why should we want them? 1) Cheap to operate and Eliminates our dependence on foreign oil 2) At $0.60 to a gallon worth of battery charge in conversion of energy we would have little or no pollution or the cost of gasoline that we do now. $3.29 (Price of Gas) - $0.60 (Price of Electricity)= $2.69 Kept in the Consumer's Pocket not the Gas Company's 3) The Technology of today is even better, and by far surpasses the efficiency of gasoline, or even hybrid cars, or the High Cost, Low Range Hydrogen Vehicles (which I suspect was the very reason (CARB) reversed its law as its Chairman had direct ties to the development Hydrogen Vehicles Fuel Cell Hydrogen Technology (Conflict of Interest) and helped Kill the production and any signs of thier existance of these electric cars. This Technology exists today but is being continually suppressed by our government, the Oil Industry, and Oil Industry's puppets the Auto Industry!
