I just checked my log and I was first aware of this problem back in November of 2007. Getting it is always accidental (like clicking a link accidentally and the scumware loads). AVG (the paid version) has an anti-spyware component, a link scanner and a web shield (and it doesn't slow down the computer BUT an AVG error on an update could be problematic). Kaspersky Internet Security will prevent any of these malware problems also. : - ))) Forget Norton or McAfee. You might just as well give yourself a virus. LOL
