As far as Guantanamo goes...

the fact that Bush Jr. can't, or refused to find a way to deal
with them say's volumes about him.

No one knows what crimes these people either did or didn't commit.

Again, I'll go back to WW2.
We're led to believe this is a "different type of war".
It is not.
There were terrorists in WW2 all the same as today, and operated
exactly the same way as those do today...but we
didn't need Guantanamo or the secrecy it gives did we?

We are led to believe they must keep them there indefinitely,
as per Dick Cheney's remarks.
Then, they let some go dubiously.....to declare later they've
rejoined terrorist activities.

Funny how they know they've re-joined terrorist networks, but
don't know where they are and can't arrest them again.

This approach is simply laziness and incompetence compiled
by a good dose of paranoia.

It was never as complex a problem as they led everyone to believe.
