^ 5 Albeit, I (and most people) spoil theirs, so they are never wanting. And through the social bonding, whether it be being the leader of the pack or pride as the case may be, most animals would defend their pack or pride leader (you) literally to the death. --- I'm particularly amazed at Macavity the cat because what he did shows advanced deductive reasoning in how to get from point A to point B without having to walk there (avoiding a potential problem on the way?). In the expanded story not told in the caption; the bus driver confirmed that no person showed him how to do it. He just boarded with other passengers one day, and was the only one to get off at the next stop that day. One could assume that Macavity watched people get on the bus at the primary stop, then watched people get off the bus at the next stop, precisely where he wanted to go.
