Few seem to remember Saddam paying Palestinian suicide bomber families
$25,000. or lobbing missles into Israel or Jordan siding with Saddam
or the Saudis raising money for the Intafada. The end of the Gulf War
was poorly handled- note the punishment of Kurds and the south. We
might have squeezed Saddam down but Bush43 was impatient- a dangerous
emotion- to settle his father's accounts. So we have wreaked Iraq,
basically, and have no oil revenues to balance our adventure nor a
counterweight to Iran/Afghanistan/Pakistan nor control over a society
rife with grief and loss and revenge, bribery and social breakdown.
