How many asked for real information or studied the prospectus, etc.? I've been burned in my lifetime by trusting in advisors who did not have my interests at heart- that's part of growing up- learning lessons the hard way- and still being grateful for blessings. I have to wonder if Madoff investors quibbled over their gains- I doubt it- or home buyers who fudged their applications weren't playing the same dishonest game as the mortgage brokers? Anyone who makes a commission/ fee off of another's money is going to be holding that idea in front. It's just human nature, alas. In long run, philosophy is the consolation.
