Dear Friends,
Politics for the 21st Century is conducting a survey for a show that
will be aired on Block Talk Radio (www.blogtalkradio.com) in the
coming weeks and would like your viewpoint.
The United States ⺷ except for a few small countries (e.g., the
Principality of Liechtenstein) ⺷ has the highest Gross Domestic
Product (GDP) per capita in the world (CIA, 2008) and some say the
reason for such exceptional economic achievement is that the U.S. is a
market (i.e., decentralized) system, not a centralized system like the
former Soviet Union (Schiller, 2005).
In your opinion, why then are the nation’s elected officials moving
the country away from a market system towards a more government-
controlled system?
Please (i) reply to this post and (ii) ask a friend to reply too.
Thank you.
