Then get rid of the profession politicians and get some who do have
business experience and also get some aides who have business
experience. There are all too many aides like the assistant in the
British series "Yes, Minister" who are doing things because that is the
way they always have. You need people working there who know s*it from
s*inola about what goes on outside the beltway. Even the MSM realizes
that there is a huge yawning chasm between inside the beltway and
outside the beltway and mentions it but then they are also a part of the
inside the beltway society. Open it up, put up term limits, get people
in there who can read, force them to read the bills before they vote on
them. After all it was one of the leaders of the House who laughed just
a couple of days ago about the members reading the Healthcare bill
before voting on it. He thought it was funny. And yet this is a bill
that would affect about 15% of our whole economy. They won't even read
what they are passing and the bills are purposely so long and convoluted
that the members couldn't really understand it if they did read it. How
many of those in Congress are lawyers and used to the whole band-aid on
band-aid type of obfuscation in language. Is there a reason that the
laws have to be written so that the average layman can't understand them?

As to the current members, Some of the Yellow Dog Democrats have
potential if they stop falling in line to vote as their seniors demand
and take real stands. Coburn is one who has tried to stop the
earmarks. A few of the Republicans have tried to stop them. Boehner
has taken stands against this rush to pass legislation that will not do
what they claim it will. I want Dodd gone, Rangel gone, Frank gone,
Murtha especially gone, Pelosi gone, Reid gone, Specter gone, Kerry the
waste of air gone, Schumer gone, Obey gone, Lindsey Graham gone, Waters
gone, Sheila Jackson Lee gone, Nadler gone, Waxman gone, Boxer gone,
Murphy gone, Conrad gone, Anthony Weiner my congressman way gone. That
would clear a lot of the dead wood and the crew that is getting in the
way of anything productive happening. Replace them with people who
actually know have a clue how to run a business.

Get a lot of the legislation out of DC and let some of the states do
something with it so we can see what works and what doesn't. In the
states get rid of the legislators who have been there for a generation
or more and who just keep adding to the costs with programs that have
failed and should be eliminated. Look at the crew in California and the
crew in Mass for starters. Neither of them has even taken a look at
where the money has gone and what it has bought to see if they can cut
spending. They keep all the spending and add to it and if you say cut,
they cut essential services and leave the fat alone. Then they claim
that if you don't support their programs you will hurt the
cheeellllddddrrrreeeennnn.
