Obama, Our Marxist-Minded President

We have a president, a state department, a U.N., and an Organization of
American States (OAS) that is now backing the communists, Marxists,
socialists, and tyrants that want to take over Honduras. This is a case
study of how
a radical socialist president, backed by Congressional majorities, and a
mainstream media in the tank, can do the most outrageous things and get away

with them.

But it is also a grim reminder that we have not only elected a radical,
left-wing president with a history of questionable associates, but a
president that can now be fairly labeled a socialist and communist
sympathizer and
supporter. Don’t try fobbing this all off. The facts are clear to anyone who

wants to take the time to find them.

This is light years behind incredible and outrageous and what is happening
is clear as a bell to anyone who is awake: We have a president, Barack
Obama; a state department headed by Hillary Clinton; and a government that
is
now on the side of the Communists, the Marxists, the tyrants and dictators
of South America. I knew Obama was a fraud, a faker, a phony, and a fibber.
I knew he was a socialist, but the new evidence suggests you have to add
communist sympathizer and/or communist to that long list of Obama
descriptives.

If you’re getting the facts instead of the mythology spun out by our
President, our State Department and the mainstream media, you know what is
going
on in Honduras. Instead of supporting those that stand for freedom and
democracy, we are supporting the Communists and the likes of Hugo Chavez and

Fidel Castro. The facts are summarized by Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media

(AIM) in an article at AIM’s web site, _aim.org_ (http://aim.org/) , titled
“Obama Sides With Marxists Over Hondurans” (June 28, 20090). He writes,

“The so-called ‘military coup’ in Honduras was a successful effort20by
Honduran patriots to preserve their constitutional system of government from

an international alliance of communists and socialists backed by Iran. Not
surprisingly, America’s Marxist President has come down on that
anti-American side.” Kincaid has been in the lead in covering this story,
and you can
find a series of his reports on the subject at the web site of Accuracy in
Media (www.aim.org).

The deposed president, Manuel Zelaya, was not ousted by a coup. A coup
suggests a violent, illegal, and unconstitutional removal by force from
office. The Random House Dictionary of the English Language (2nd ed.,
unabridged)
defines a coup as “a sudden and decisive action in politics, especially
one resulting in a change of government illegally or by force.” Instead he
was ousted by the courts and congress of Honduras because he was taking
illegal action to preserve his presidency in violation of the Honduran
constitution. As explained by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehiten (R-FL), ranking
republican on
the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Zelaya was “moving to re-write the
Honduran constitution to extend and expand his power, while retaliating
against
those who stand in the way.”

Because Zelaya was taking illegal action, he was impeached by the Honduran
Congress. That action was affirmed by the courts, and the action was
supported by the equivalent of the Attorney General of Honduras and its
military. (As an aside, the Catholic Church in Honduras also opposed
Zelaya’s
illegal power-grab).) So this was not a coup, but the military, under lawful

orders from the courts and congress, taking action against a rogue president

in accordance with the rule of law and with the purpose of preserving the
democratic process.

A blogger, quoted by Kincaid, put the matter this way: The Obama
administration E2was quick to call the events in Honduras a coup. What has
gone
underreported, or not reported at all in the media or recognized by the
Obama
Administration, is that the democratically-elected Congress unanimously
approved the change in leadership and impeached the president. If this was a

constitutionally correct action why has the Obama administration been so
quick to judge and condemn?”

So we have the disgusting spectacle of President Obama and our government
working with the Communists, Marxists and the tyrants of South America
(such as Hugo Chavez of Venezuela) and working against the forces of freedom

and the legitimate democratic government of Honduras. Kincaid writes, “The
leftist governments of Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez sponsored a United
Nations resolution that condemned the people of Honduras for resisting the
spread
of communism by evicting a would-be dictator.” You know something is
radically wrong when the Obama is working closely with the tyrant and
Communist,
Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.

I asked Kincaid why Obama is working with the Communists and socialists
and working against democratically electe d governments. He replied that to
understand where Obama is coming from you just have to look at his
associates over the years. As this column has frequently reported, Obama has
a long
history of close association with America-haters, bigots, racists,
radicals, socialists, Marxists, communists, and even terrorists. And of
course,
there’s his famous bow to socialist with his remark on how he wants to “
spread the wealth around.”

So it is not surprising that he seems more sympathetic to the Marxists and
communists than to the forces of freedom. He bootlicks our enemies and
disses our friends and allies. His moral compass usually malfunctions. For
example, when Russia invaded Georgia, he treated that illegal aggression on
the part of Russia as the moral equivalent of the self-defense on the part
of
Georgia. He seems disturbed and obsessed with the fact that Jews are
building homes in Israel, but is relaxed about the Muslims building nuclear
bombs in Iran. He visits Russia, but snubs our allies such as Poland. He
habitually apologizes for America but fails to recognize the greatness of
America
and its exceptionaliism. When you consider his associates, his views, and
the fact that he seems to be on the side of communists and Marxists, even
when it seems to be against America’s best interest, it is no stretch to
conclude this guy is a Marxist and a communist. Some would prefer to call
him
a “communist sympathizer,” but he is clearly on the side of the
communists.20

In addition to his socialist, communist, Marxist and radical tendencies,
there is one other explanation further supporting Obama’s conduct in this
matter. He thinks he can deal with all the tyrants of the world including
those in South America and of course Iran. So he wants to keep them happy,
so
he’ll be in a position to sweet-talk them into doing what he wants. This
has been described as the talking disease, and from the point of view of
U.S.
foreign policy it looks like it is a fatal disease. He thinks he can make
Iran, Korea, Cuba and the other tyrants of the world behave like boy scouts
if he can talk to them. And he considers those conversations so important
that to facilitate them he seems to throw our allies under the bus.

To show you how far the mainstream media has gone in misreporting this
story, I can refer you to an Associated Press story published in the
Philadelphia Inquirer on July 11, 2009. The U.S. is trying to “resolve” the
crisis
in Honduras by having Costa Rica’s President Oscar Arias mediate the
dispute between the legally ousted Zelaya and his legally appointed
successor,
Roberto Micheletti. The A.P. report states, “U.S. officials have promoted
the
talks in Costa Rica’s capital, hoping to ease Zelaya back into the
presidency without violence while resolving the concerns of Honduras’
Supreme
Court, Congress and military, which say they legally removed the president
for
violating the constitution by mane uvering to extend his time in power.”

Get that: The congress and the courts have determined that Zelaya should
be impeached and ousted, in accordance to the legal system of Honduras. But
the Obama administration wants to put the Chavez and communist backed Zelaya

back into power. So the Obama administration, in effect, wants to overrule
all the laws and procedures of Honduras to get20the Chavez and
communist-backed Zelaya back into office “while resolving the concerns of
Honduras’
Supreme Court, Congress and military…” You’d think the reporter would be
smart enough to realize there is something incongruous about the Obama
administration’s move, which the AP’s own reporting shows is that Obama
supports
an illegal return to power of an impeached tyrant. In other words, the AP
reporter doesn’t realize it is Obama attempting to stage a coup in
Honduras. He doesn’t understand the express terms of his own reporting.
Almost all
of the other major media outlets have reported the ouster of Zelaya as a “
coup.” And that includes even Fox Cable News, which usually doesn’t swallow
mainstream media misconceptions.

There is something else about this whole bizarre development that must be
noted: Obama said he doesn’t want to meddle in the affairs of Iran when the
tyrants there were beating demonstrators and cracking the heads of those
protesting on behalf of freedom. He took about 11 days before even issuing a

strong condemn ation of the suppression of the protesting public. But he
immediately protested, meddled and intervened in the affairs of Honduras on
behalf of a communist and socialist stooge who had been legally removed.
Obama won’t intervene or “meddle” on behalf of freedom fighters, but he will

intervene, meddle, and even seek to overthrow the established law of the
land when it comes to getting a c ommunist and Marxist back into power. He
doesn’t want to meddle in the Middle East to stop the terrorism of the
Palestinian Authority, but he is meddling on all cylinders in Israel to stop
any
expansion of settlements. He seems to have endless sympathy for terrorists,
Communists, and America’s enemies.

There is only one thing as shocking as our president siding with the
Communist and Marxist revolutionaries trying to overthrow a democratic
government. It is the fact that the mainstream media and the Democrats in
Congress
seem to be standing by and not protesting America siding with the Communists

of Latin America.

While breaking the story about Obama appeasing the Communists and siding
with them in South America, Kincaid also broke two other major stories,
which I will now briefly summarize. He interviewed Alejandro Pena Esclusa,
president of UnoAmerica and leader of the opposition to communist and
leftist
parties and terrorist movements in Latin America (See “Honduras Can Be Saved

>From Communism” July 10, 2009 on the AIM web site (www.aim.org)).

Pena Esclusa said that communists are making major inroads in South
America, and Obama’s siding with the communists may further that trend. He
also
noted there are only four center-right or pro-American countries left in
Latin America – Columbia, Mexico, Peru, and Panama.

He also said, “It is a shame that President Obama is aligning himself with
the allies of Chavez and Ahmadinejad to crush a democratic20process in
Honduras. I ask myself: Will he really be conscious of the tremendous damage

he is inflicting to democracy and freedom in our continent? Does he really
know the danger he is posing to the national security of the United States?”

Pena Esclusa also emphasizes that 22 of the 34 members of the Organization
of American States are controlled by the Communist tyrant, Hugo Chavez.
This shows how our position in Latin America is already perilous and how it
will be even more perilous under the influence of our socialist and
communist president, Barack Hussein Obama.

Kincaid also broke a major story on how the Obama has made a deal with the
leftist tyrant Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. Kincaid found that Tom Hayden,
also known as Mr. Jane Fonda and a well-known leftist and Marxist, has
written, “The real story is that a gradual rapprochement – not an alliance
but a
dialogue – is happening between the US and Venezuela, and it began in
Trinidad, was pushed by Latin American leaders and welcomed b y those like
Obama, who prefer diplomacy over a return to US Cold War isolation.”

Kincaid writes, “But why would Obama be appeasing Chavez? Could the ‘
appeasement’ reflect the fact that Obama and Chavez are ideologically in
sync
and see events in Latin America through the same Marxist lens? This is what
the Hayden article suggests.”

Obama seems to be in the full-time business of appeasing radicals,
Communists, and other enemies of20America in order to further his sweet-talk

diplomacy with the likes of Iran and the radicals and communists of Latin
America including Chavez and Castro.

For a full account of Kincaid’s report on this Obama-Chavez alliance see
the article by Kincaid, “Leading ‘Progressive’ Describes Obama-Chavez Axis”
(July 6, 2009) on Accuracy in Media’s web site at _www.aim.org_
(http://www.aim.org/) .

Finally, as you would expect and as _Breitbart.com_
(http://breitbart.com/) reports, the Democrats in Congress have fallen
behind Obama, the
communists, the Marxists, and the tyrants of Latin America (“Republicans
lambaste
Obama for backing Zelaya,” July 10, 2009). Breitbart reports,

“‘Zelaya was removed from office for his unconstitutional and illegal
attempts to alter the constitution of Honduras for purely selfish reasons,’
said Congressman Chris Smith, a Republican from New Jersey.

“The claim that the events that led to Zelaya0s ouster constituted a coup ‘
melts under any serious scrutiny,’ Smith added.

“‘Rather, democracy and the rule of law triumphed over Mr. Zelaya’s
lawlessness.’”

Senator Connie Mack of Florida said the Obama administration now stands
with the tyrants, Marxists and communists of Latin America – Hugo Chavez,
Evo
Morales, and Daniel Ortega, and not with the Honduran people fighting for
their freedom.

As so much of recent developments demonstrate, the20Obama administration
and the Democratic Congress appear to be at war with America and American
values. It is later than we think, and we better start organizing and moving

if we are to save America from destruction.
