We got a big treat here in South Florida just after the storms of '05; not an electric light for two hundred miles, just the stars, millions and billions of stars. Kids were out in the yards... looking up. From horizon to horizon, nothing but stars, shooting stars, and more stars.
Then, night by night the grid came blazing back. And night by night the sky turned dark, and the kids went inside.
