Because it wouldn't stop in 5 minutes or ever. I even doubt he's spent a penny on lawyers defending this, as opposed to opposition who has probably spent million$ looking into it and filing frivolous court cases in an effort to make themselves believable to minions. The congress passed a resolution by vote on the issue with not one dissenting vote. So if you think some congress people are going to follow something else...good luck with that. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) that commemorates Hawaii’s 50th anniversary as a U.S. state by a vote of 378-0. The resolution also contains this provision: “Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii,” a measure that some GOP members may have had trouble supporting.
