You should consider that the dems in Congress and the Senate were in charge for 40 years and look what happened to the country then. Vietnam, the Great Society debacle, one of the leading senators telling our arch enemy just what our policies were going to be and what the president was going to do, entitlements galore for anything that moved if they thought it would vote Dem - and you blame the republicans? Remember that the laws start in the congress and senate. The republicans until the healthcare debacle of Clinton were not in charge of the lawmaking body and they were the ones who passed the CRU and the redlining laws that brought down the housing market and left us with the mess at FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They have known for 3 years that this mess was coming - Bush tried to get them to fix it and they refused with all the Dems in lockstep supporting Bawney and Dodd. You can blame all you want but you are pointing at the wrong one for this. Tell me about lip service. Check out what Pelosi was going to do about publicizing the bills they were going to vote on. Remember the 5 days sunshine before the votes? Seen any of that at all? How about the ethics committee. All I have seen is Pelosi pointing fingers at Republicans who get rid of crooks and promoting her Dems - Murtha and Rangel for example. She even was going to post Alcee Hastings to the intelligence committee and he was kicked off the bench for ethics violations. That is who you should be attacking. They have been in charge for 3 years and what have they done so far. Tripled the deficit in 10 months far beyond what Bush did in 8 years. Mortgaged our grandkids future for the next 50 years and growing. And now instead of cutting spending to try to catch up with the deficit they are going to raise the limit so they can spend still more. That does not even include the cap and trade or this unmentionable healthcare debacle. Top that off with the EPA now threatening that if the Congress won't pass what they want then they are just going to make up the regulations without waiting for the laws to be passed. That is just plain unconstitutional. This is the kind of stuff you think is just hunky dory. I don't think you need to attack republicans who are out of office. Just attack the dregs of humanity you helped elect. They are so despicable and the targets are so many you will be too busy even to comment on this website.
