While Democrats are reluctant to gut--or, as Obama says, "pare down"--their fiscally disastrous health-care fantasia, they spent Wednesday parroting Republican talking points on Massachusetts, with just enough spin on top to suggest that voters want legislation that is both more progressive and less. In short, it seems the very idea of working with Scott Brown is enough to return gridlock to Congress. 2.) According to Reuters, the financial bailout of the banking industry and the stimulus caused the U.S. to fall on the list. While still residing several hundred countries above mainland China and Zimbabwe, the U.S. is officially less economically free than Canada. 4.) In an email to the college news site, Feinstein argued that the UMD and the SEIU's rival unions in California are overreacting to his use of UMD letterhead and the inclusion of his university title: “Obviously I’m not speaking on behalf of the University of Maryland,” he said. “Anyone who suggests that’s implied [by the letterhead] of course is incorrect.
