that is the gist of most of the responses to the discussions. Once in a
while someone says something but not too often.
If no subjects are brought up, then no discussion.

The article presens a topic for discussion. YMMV. If you read it and
don't have an opinion, then don't comment on it. Obviously the person
posting it thought the topic worthy of being brought to the attention of
the group.
You might have more of a leg to stand on if you had a better idea of
what a group is about. The idea is to bring up points of view for
discussion by the group, not necessarily the point of view of the
individual bringing it up for discussion. If you respond, then the
discussion can take off. If nobody does, then it is dropped. No crime,
no foul.

The proof is in the pudding, pal. Take a look at the home page. 90% of
the posts never get a response. This is supposed to be a DEBATE forum.
Not a place to post links to articles you find interesting, but nobody
else knows why. The forum is now like a lake that has been choked to
death with weeds. There used to be high activity before this bulletin
boarding started. Now the place is dead.
