It looks as if the Slashdot commenters agree with me. They must have had some experience with contracting with the govt in the past. I wonder how this will figure in with the desire of Obama to cut the consulting projects and restrict them to employees and also cut the number of firms of consultants they have. If he does that, then this will be a huge clusterf*ck of a mess; if he doesn't then it will be gravy time at least as big as the Y2K period for consulting and you will have a lot of govt employees who are close to retirement leaving early and taking the consulting jobs for big bucks. The cost of this whole project will be astronomical and when you add that to the Healthcare and the prior and new Stimulus plans and the Fannie and Freddie funding brouhaha and, God forbit, Cap and Trade, the bills for our future generations are going to be beyond belief - and this is all supposed to save big bucks and creat jobs. I can see this project creating jobs but then how in the heck (see, I can show a little class at times) is this all going to be funded as well as all the entitlements Zero has in mind. I would like to say this ain't gonna happen without huge tax increases on everybody, not just the rich that Zero wants to milk like an ATM machine.
