In an extensive Dallas

worthy of further exposure. We first broached the subject,
<http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/11/18/unindicted-co-conspirator-ra
ising-money-for-ft-hood/> here, when we learned the Muslim
Brotherhood-linked Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) was raising money
for the victims of the Ft. Hood jihadi massacre. Was the money really for
the victims? If so, where is it? From the DMN article:

Three days after the Fort Hood massacre, [Louay] Safi announced that ISNA
was launching the Fort Hood Family Fund. "Mosques throughout the country are
expected to join fellow Americans in contributing to help the families of
the victims," his news release said.

A fund Web site said the initial goal was "to raise $100,000 for immediate
relief," with further amounts invested in a mutual fund. ISNA promised "to
maintain full transparency to ensure that your donated dollar gets to its
intended destination."

About $55,000 had been collected by early December, Safi told The News.

<http://creepingsharia.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/isna-2.jpg>

Where's ISNA's money?

When he went to Fort Hood at the beginning of that month to train officers,
Safi took a $10,000 check to the Association of the U.S. Army. Ron Taylor
<http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Ron_Taylor> , president of the
military-support charity's regional chapter, said he was grateful for the
donation.

Safi called him about a week later and promised $100,000 more after learning
that The News was asking questions about the money, Taylor added. He said
recently that the pledge had not materialized.

So the additional $100,000 did not materialize. No harm, no foul, but more
than a hint at Safi and ISNA's sincerity if not credibility, not to mention
the almost non-existent response from the Muslim-American community.

What about the other $42-$45,000 collected, according to ISNA's own website
graphic, that was supposed to go to families of the victims of Islamic
jihad?

Did ISNA exploit the Ft. Hood tragedy to raise money for Islamic efforts?
Does it continue to exploit the tragedy for monetary gain? Their Ft. Hood
Family Fund website <http://www.forthoodfamilyfund.com/> , which includes a
list of all the Islamist organizations involved, indicates exploitation
seems more than plausible:

Organizers have planned to raise funds in stages. The first stage is to
offer immediate financial relief to those families that lost loved ones in
last week's shooting. Organizers are in communication with the Fort Hood
office of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) to determine the
best approach for the disbursement of funds.

An initial benchmark is to raise $100,000.00 for immediate relief. For the
second phase of the relief fund organizers have turned to Saturna Capital's
Amana Mutual Fund - one of the top performing mutual funds of the past few
years - to provide long term investment services compatible with Islamic
principles.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is leading the Muslim
communities' effort and will manage the secure online collection account
under their 501(c)3 nonprofit status, making all contributions tax
deductible.

What does the "second phase" even have to do with Ft. Hood? Why would ISNA
invest money collected for the victims of the mass murder rather than hand
it over? And according to Islamic principles? According to the Muslim who
killed 14 and wounded scores of others at Ft. Hood, it was the Islamic
principle of jihad that justifies his killing spree.

Recall also that the New York Times reported ISNA president Ingrid Mattson
stating the following, while this fundraising effort was ongoing:

"I don't understand why the Muslim-American community has to take
responsibility for him. The Army has had at least as much time and
opportunity to form and shape this person as the Muslim community."

If ISNA felt so strongly, why then would they feel the need to take
responsibility for raising money for his actions? Exploitation?

Ft. Hood AUSA accepted $10,000 in blood money already. Now that the Islamist
who handed over the check has been suspended by the military and is facing a
criminal investigation, and the rest of the money is unaccounted for, it's
not too late to contact Ft. Hood AUSA and share your feelings.
