I don't really care one way or the other, but I have serious doubts that Rand Paul will actually win a Senate seat. Kentucky is basically a Democratic state with high unemployment and high poverty levels. The only reason a Republican was elected was because of the frustration after the 9-11 attacks. The focus of frustration has changed. But I wouldn't make any bets that he can actually win there. And even if he does, I'm almost certain that he won't last. But maybe we'll see what he can bring to the people there besides rhetoric and unproven theories.
