There is a road to citizenship for all legal immigrants and they are on
it. The illegal immigrants need to make themselves legal and then get
on that same road to citizenship. What is the problem with that.
Very well defined and has been used for years. In the meantime get the
illegal immigrants out and close the borders to them until they become
legal immigrants. That is what the Arizona law was all about and what
the federal law is and what the laws under consideration in the other
states now.
As to the nation being founded and built by immigrants, yes it was and
they came here legally at the time, became citizens and built the
country. All that we are asking is that these new ones do the same.
Come here using the legal means as defined by the federal laws and
become citizens. Easy peasy. No problem then. They would be very
welcome. You just have to separate the illegal immigrants from the
legal ones.
