And what's more is he probably supported Ronald Reagan (as his friend
Frank Sintra did) but in some personal capacity, he never made a
public statement about it.
What he did make statements about was in not understanding the
military industrial complex and why so much money was wasted on weapon
systems.
I doubt very much that he would have supported the current crop of neo-
cons, war mongers, ideologues or the "patriotic" BS music that came
from it.

Another aside:
one of the things that Bush Jr. did right after 9-11 was make a visit
to Hollywood in order to talk to them about promoting his war
propaganda through music, film and even commercial television.
