I have just taken the time to read the story(ies) of Kenneth James Weishuhn. There is no question that this is tragic, and heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking any time a fourteen year old child, literally a babe, takes his own life.
One has to wonder what could have caused a 14 year old kid to take his own life? I read the allegations of bullying; but this was purportedly on a FaceBook page, and for the life of me, I find this hard to believe that this could have been the sole reasoning behind this child's suicide, even if accurate and true. What would have inspired a 14 year old kid to come out and declare himself to be, "Gay"? When I was fourteen, my hormones were racing to extent of bursting! I know that I grew up in a different era; literally, a different world, but I had no idea what my true sexual inclinations were at the age of 14. I do know that it would not have been socially acceptable for me, or anyone to proclaim their sexual identity in Junior High School, and I cannot help but think that this is still improper today, in the New Millennium. I note that Kenneth comes from a broken home; e.g.; that his Mom is not married to his Dad, and there is no mention as to whether they were ever married. Only that Mom is married to another man today. My parents divorced when I was in Junior High School, and that was a tough, emotional roller coaster for me, but not to the point that I would have ever considered suicide. A lot of unanswered questions here; and again, I cannot help but to place a portion of blame on the whole militant Lesbian, Gay Transgender alliance, again, for a porton of this tragedy. It is NOT acceptable for a young 14 year old kid to come out and declare his sexuality at that age! It is as if these people, as a group, are so focused on their cause being, "Right" that damn the consequences, and this surely seems to be a consequence...... ================== *IN LOVING MEMORY OF* *KENNETH J. He was a member of the Thundercats soccer team. He enjoyed shopping, video games, rollerblading and spending time with his family. KJ was a respectful and kind person in which he always had a smile on his face. He liked the colors pink and orange. Family was a major part of his life and he had a special bond with his cousins and his best friend, was his sister, Kayla Weishuhn.
